Un disque 100% analogique pour Stonebirds

<p> Stonebirds already released a demo, a split-CD and a homemade digital Ep, we now want to put the band to the next level by recording our first fully professionally recorded disc.</p> <p>  </p> <p> This "Ep" (40min though!) is a way for us to confirm a serious stylistic twist as the band now exists for six years and has found a cool balance with a three piece stable lineup including Fañch (guitar, vox), Sylvain (bass, vox) and Antoine (drums). So this record is both a goal and a stand to make the band grow.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Our approach is to try new things trusting indie and passionate people who have nothing in common (our few things) with the whole stoner/doom scene, its folklore, wether its recording, artwork, t-shirt printing, beer brewing...</p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>STUDIO</strong>:</p> <p>  </p> <p> For the very first time, we wish to entrust our music to a fully professional studio, a skilled ear that will translate our vision and overcome our expectations by bringing in its experience. We chose the amazing <strong>Kerwax</strong> studio based in Loguivy-Plougras (France) next to our place. This all-analogic studio is owned by a couple of passionate people : Christophe and Marie. They're very experienced engineers and music lovers and are fond of sixties/seventiesmusic and art, just like us! We made this choice not because it was convenient and close to our place, but because their approache of sound and work is amazing, they own kickass old school gear, they're not used to work with metal/heavy rock bands, at all, and their place is surrounded by silence in a very nice part of our beloved country, Bretagne, which is a great inspiration source for us for years.</p> <p> We can't wait to enter the studio (early september) and work with Christophe, akind of young bearded gourou, a very quiet and frank guy who quickly got interested in the project.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Have a look at their place and work :<strong> <a href="http://kerwax.org/" target="_blank">KERWAX website</a></strong></p> <p>            <img alt="Studio_ext" src="https://kkbb-production.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/project_image/image/85145/studio_ext.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p> Funfact : Kerwax' impressive analogic gear (more like a true museum!) includes legendary and unique pieces used by bands such as Magma, The Who and Serge Gainsbourg to name a few!</p> <p>  </p> <p> Brainstorming time with the Kerwax family :</p> <p>            <img alt="Studio-int" src="https://kkbb-production.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/project_image/image/85146/studio-int.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>ARTWORK:</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> After several months of research wolrdwide on the internet, the three of us had a crush for <strong>DZO </strong>style and spirit and, quite luckily, he's also based in France! He is a unique drawer whom work just blew our minds! His love for Nature, his improvised approachof drawing, his dark sensitivity... all seems to match with our music and we've been deeply touched by this.</p> <p> Once again, there was a mutual crush ant <strong>DZO </strong>quickly showed very implicated and enthousiastic about the project, despise the fact he never worked with a band before!
