To celebrate his forty years of career, we are publishing a collector&rsquo;s journal which will assemble his iconic photographs, some of them unpublished, that bear witness of contemporary History. Taken from photographic reports in Afghanistan, Chechnya and Ukraine. From Tiananmen&nbsp;square to the fall of the Berlin wall until the liberation of Nelson Mandela. As many liberating or dramatic moments that constitute today a work of memory and recollection.</em></p> <p><em>This is why we have chosen to gather&nbsp;all of these photographs in a collector&rsquo;s journal in an unpublished format. Everything had been razed to the ground. I just arrived; this is my first image. This woman was kicked out of her home by the Russians because they dynamited all the buildings out of fear that the Chechen fighters would return hiding there. I could take pictures but only sky and walls ... And so that I understood the rules correctly, I was lodged in front of the Ministry of Vices and Virtue. I managed to escape from their surveillance twice in four days, not without risks. I had made a picture somewhat similar to this one but less successful because of the little time I had. A year later the Taliban were driven out by the international coalition forces. I returned to the same building. After waiting for two hours, this woman appeared. During my childhood, news about the Cold War was almost daily. We were told that the Russians could be in Paris in three days. As children, we had to sing the Marseillaise at the war memorial for each commemoration. Twenty-eight years later the wall is falling, I&#39;m on it, on the front line. I have the most beautiful job in the world, my joy is unmeasurable. It is believed that war will no longer take place in Europe, and that the world will change. Rather insults or other courtesies, but sometimes the verbal exchanges are used to take news from neighbours in the other camp, even members of the same family torn by the conflict.
