EXOTICA LUNATICA : Lancement d'un premier Album

Genesis of the project : Exotica Lunatica is a musical duo formed after the explosive and obvious encounter of two very singular artistic personalities. This project is an invitation to travel, to discover several horizons coexisting in harmony and enriched by their diversity. Born in 2022, the duo has written a 10-track debut album "Enter The Moon" expected to be released in June 2023. Eleanna Konstanta is a Greek singer, guitarist, director and performer and Daphné Hejebri is a French composer, multi-instrumentalist, director and performer. This duo, emerging from various roots, produces an ethnic and deeply polyphonic music with real sounds, incorporating classical elements and merging them with diverse modern materials. Exploring various themes such as the relationships humans have with the living, with the elements, with the matter, with the senses, with the transcendence, as well as more committed socio-political themes, this duo conveys us through a mystical, metaphysical, erotic and cosmic soundscape. The creative fusion between the two artists was self-evident, like a sharing of heritage, an opening to new horizons and a deep desire for connection through a mixture of singular artistic universes. The specificity of what Exotica Lunatica offers lies in the hybrid character of a music that claims to break away from genre. Its existence is also accompanied by a desire to create strong collaborative, performative, musical and visual objects that will only further strengthen its identity. Born with the idea of surrealism, symbolism and a touch of mysticism, this duo develops a language that brings together a variety of images through which sensory connections can be established. Information about the album : Number of tracks : 10 Duration : Approx. 40 minutes Format : Digital, CD & Vinyl Presentation of the members : Eleanna Konstanta (1995) is above all a dramatic soprano opera singer. Trained at the Athens Conservatory in classical guitar and then in lyrical singing, she performs on the greatest opera stages in Athens, such as the National Opera of Greece, Megaron, Stavros Niarchos and many others. In parallel, she has developed an interest for traditional Greek music and maintains the perpetual desire to erase the boundaries between genres to bring together different musical styles that exist within her inner self Very active on the Athens music scene, she has recently moved to Strasbourg (France) to develop several artistic projects. Passionate about directing, artistic performance and visual arts in general, she integrates into her practice the way of thinking the music and visual Arts, scenography, performance as well as the poetry of the resonance between all these fields. As a professional musician, she performs with the Trio of traditional Greek music "Trio Amigdalià", the Duo "Exotica Lunatica" and develops solo lyric singing recitals. In the duo Exotica Lunatica she develops in her practice a hybrid way of singing, between traditional singing, lyrical singing and vocalizations in chest voice, bringing a mystical and tribal character. Daphné Hejebri (1994) is a composer in contemporary music. After post-graduate studies in different conservatories in France and Canada, first studying the violin and then classical contemporary music composition with Philippe Manoury, Philippe Leroux, Tom Mays and Daniel d'Adamo, her music is being played on the major performing scenes of contemporary music. Meanwhile, she keeps a link with performance through percussions mainly and traditional Greek and Middle Eastern music for which she keeps a strong interest, and which reconnects her to her Iranian origins. Always curious of discovering and researching different musical horizons, she gets inspired by exploring various directions. The collaborative works that she carries out with different artistic fields reveal her real interest in audio-visual projects and artistic performances. She performs within the trio of traditional Greek music "Trio Amigdalià", the duo Exotica Lunatica, and also keeps up with her activity as a contemporary music composer for current projects such as commissions by the Paris Philharmonie, the Intercontemporain Ensemble or The musicians of Cologne Radio Orchestra.
