Exposition - exploration urbaine

«Look left, look right: nobody. This is the time. Sneak through the hole in the fence, climb the wall. The door is already open. Inside. Stillness and listening. Odors come first. Plic-plop, drops of water in the distance. Noise upstairs. Presence or airflow making a frame beat? First glance. Move like a shadow, watching where the feets are put and quick inspection of the place. Nobody. Everything seems ok. Bag placed on the ground, tripod unfolded. Opening the bag, zipper resonates like hell. Too bad. Pulling out of the camera and the remote control. The camera is attached to the tripod. The exploration begins ...»

My photographic work is mainly focused on abandoned places. I discuss in this way the themes of dereliction, forgetfulness and ephemeral. A work on the memory where the aesthetic primes on the documentary side. My look on these places could be described as romantic, at the same time full of melancholy and feelings. Moods tell, the emotional charge is often very strong, the place gives as much as it takes. This is an ongoing exchange, I listen to the stories it tells, I permeates its atmosphere. Every wall, every little object left behind is more significant than it has ever been, giving clues about what life that once animated this space was.

Through my photographs, I try to bring out the personality of each location and to show, in particular through color and light what we don't see at first glance: the beauty or majesty, where usually we see only ugliness and decrepitude. I travel through these places with the respect they deserve, no break is ever committed to enter. I stick strictly to the leitmotiv of urban exploration: "Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints. "

Following the numerous positive feedback that I've received regarding my photographic work, I've decided to get seriously into photography. I contacted art galleries to exhibit my work and I had the chance to perform two exhibitions already this year, in January and February. I received a new exhibition proposal from the Opsis gallery for June which I accepted. The gallery is quite large, I will have the opportunity to exhibit many photos. Some of the photos I've already shown will be part of the selection, which will include new pictures. My photographs can be seen on my website at the following url: http://miso-photography.be

For my previous exhibitions , I financed completely by myself the print and framing of my photos. The cost for printing on a high quality photo paper is quite expensive, so I decided to ask the help of the community to help me to print new pictures . My funding request consists of two parts : the print and framing of the pictures part, and the promotional part . Here is how I've split the calculation of my funding requested : Photos: - 10 photos in 30x45cm size on Hahnemuhle baryta paper Warmtone ( print + frame ) : 450 € - 5 photos in 40x60cm size on Hahnemuhle baryta paper Warmtone ( print + frame ): 350 € In total , about thirty photos should be exposed. Cost : 800 € Promotional Materials : - 2000 Flyers : 50 € - 200 A3 Posters : 50 € Cost : 100 € The total cost is € 900 , with the part for KissKissBankBank which is 72 € , it is therefore € 972. The remaining € 28 will be used to fund the transportation of my photographs .
