Film - Downhill Skateboard World Record
My name is Ambroise, I'm 22 years old, I'm from France, I'm studying mechanical engineering and I started downhill skateboarding (longboarding) 9 years ago. I've been dreaming of becoming the "fastest freerider in the world" since I started skating and this dream came true last June in Austria after more than 3 years of hard work. I completed the fastest stand-up slide at 117.35 km/h (73.34 mph) with a top speed before the slide at around 135 km/h (84.3 mph). More than a world record, the goal is to produce a 25-30 min film to inspire people and express myself on what drove me for years. The film will be shown at big Outdoor Film festivals to reach the maximum number of people. The road in Austria has been officially closed and we came back with such nice footage. I've been able to raise enough (sponsors and personal funds) for the record attempts and the shooting but not enough for the post-production (editing, color grade, voice-over, sound design) which requires at least €5,000. That’s why I created this crowdfunding. Read more... The crew in Austria : The film : In an introspective documentary, we want to share with the audience what hides behind a rather „normal“ guy and how deep passion and dreams can motivate him to push his limits to go to the top of his own art. How challenges and fears help us grow in sports and in everyday life. An inspiring film that tells a unique story through the understated beauty of downhill skateboarding.
