FRA4 // Red Bull X-alps

The Red Bull X-Alps is the most iconic and challenging adventure race in the world. The race was founded in 2003 by the adventurer Hannes Arch and it takes place every two years. The 2023 edition will therefore mark the 20th anniversary of this iconic race. This highly publicized event, during which athletes walk, run, and fly, consists of crossing the Alps using only their legs and their paragliders. This adventure lasts about 10 days and represents more than 1,223km across and over the most beautiful peaks of the Alps. This race is not only an incredible test of physical endurance, but it has also become THE ultimate TEST for the best hike & fly athletes in the world. Depending on the weather conditions, participants run an average of one marathon per day or 42.195km and climb 3,000m vertical per day. In addition to being a mentally and physically demanding event, it is also a team adventure. After 2 years of work, Tim Alongi and his team had the chance to be selected among the 5 Frenchmen who will represent France during the race. Présentation of the team Clement Cruciani, aka the control tower: In charge of the strategy and observing the race. Gino Machetto, aka the sherpa: His role is to hike with Tim and carry the non-mandatory gear during the race. Robin Janvier, driver and logistics: His role is to take the whole team as close as possible to Tim. Vincent Rabec, coach: Vincent will take care of the recovery, massages, and physical preparation before the race. Tim Alongi, Forest Gump: His role is to fly and run as fast as possible.

Allocation of funds

The competition requires a lot of preparation and logistics to take the team to the end of the adventure. It is a 10-day self-sustained mountain race that requires enough resources for 5 people. Food, van, equipment, batteries, clothing, technical material ... every detail counts for the team members to be in optimal conditions. ONE CONTRIBUTOR = ONE TEAM MEMBER This is above all a human adventure made up of emotions, encounters and adventures that's why we need you. By becoming a contributor, you become a full member of the team. One of the stones of our cairn which will allow us to live this adventure fully. Detail of the budget Below, you will find the detailed budget for the 5 members of the team: Food - Based on 3 meals/day for 10 days for 5 people. Total - €2,750 Accommodation - Pre-race accommodation during the briefings. Total - €2,020 Transportation - Includes rental of 2 vans, fuel, and tolls. Total - €4,780 Routing - Includes all the tools to follow the race and establish the strategy. Tablet, radio, vario etc... Total - € 2,886 Van Equipment - Includes two power bank stations, external battery, storage box, dishes, cables and various fixtures. Total - € 1,948 Team equipment - Sports clothes and shoes. Total - €1,840 Preparation - Physical & mental coach, Osteo/Kinetic session, sports equipment, recovery. Total - 3 908 €. Rewards We have put in place some rewards. It is also possible to donate any amount you wish. We are doing our best to deliver the rewards before the start of the race. The priority is to be ready before June 11, so the last rewards will be sent during the summer of 2023. Any amount counts to allow the team to take on the race in the best conditions. For this, we need your help! The financial part that such a project requires is not negligible.
