GUAKAMAYO PROJECT - MUSIC STUDIO ON THE SEA

But not just </p> <p> any kind of studio ... I need a <strong>nomadic studio</strong>, a place with no borders that will </p> <p> allow me to travel and record music at the same time.</p> <p>  </p> <p> When <strong>Pierre Dandin,</strong> my trombone and Breton sailor asked me to create a </p> <p> <strong>recording studio on a sailboat</strong>, I thought ... SURE!. Suddenly the </p> <p> answer was obvious.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Pierre_drapeau-1414179472" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/131354/pierre_drapeau-1414179472.JPG"></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>A sailboat with a recording studio</strong>  in which we can travel, produce, </p> <p> work, and record all these caribbean rythms. ...</p> <p> That’s how  the<strong>"GUAKAMAYO PROJECT"</strong> was born and if I am here today </p> <p> is because <strong>we need your help.</strong></p> <p> We are seeking partners and sponsors to help us realizing this project.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Also it's not just a simple studio, no, no ... We intend to</p> <p> give lectures, about the Afro-Caribbean cultures and the <strong>preservation</strong></p> <p> <strong>of the environmen</strong>t, in schools and community centers in the cities of</p> <p> scale.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Finally we think that all the rhythms that have traveled from Africa</p> <p> to the Caribbean may one day <strong>disappear</strong> and before that happens, we want</p> <p> to record and archive them so we can <strong>pass them on to future generations</strong>. This way, we will be able to keep that richness alive.
