On the one hand, the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games serve as both a source of inspiration and a vector for international exposure: Brusk’s Faites vos Jeux featured in USA Today, and the first phase of the Grand Paris project is a genuine source of economic growth and a driver of integration into the daily lives of Parisians. On the other hand, captivating exhibitions such as Invader Space Station (see GraffitiART #76) and We Are Here (GraffitiART #78) continue to reflect the ever-growing popularity of the movement. In addition to these successes, Urban Art is gaining further institutional recognition with acquisitions by top-tier museums, dedicated art funds, record-breaking auctions, and a surge in corporate initiatives. Vhils’s work, Strates Urbaines, was a natural choice for the magazine cover. This monumental piece, composed of 11,132 azulejo tiles on a 35m-long x 7m-high mural greets passengers of the new Line 14 station at Orly Airport. This new edition of the Urban Contemporary Art Guide explores the full diversity of Urban Art.
