About

Ideas in Science is a mutual, participatory and supportive video library Ideas in Science is a memory, a place of expression and knowledge, of testimonials and meetings between enthusiasts and researchers from all over the world. We promote the Interdisciplinarity to encourage exchange and the emergence of ideas: art, astrophysics, biology, chemistry, ecology, ethics, space exploration, geology, history of science, industry, artificial intelligence, mathematics, medicine, music, neuroscience, paleontology, philosophy, physics, psychology, science fiction, sociology… Visit the Ideas in Science YouTube Channel Solo interviews, one-to-one discussions, debates on a particular theme, reports from the field - all these events are unique opportunities to explore the latest advances in science, to understand the involvement of each individual and the work of the teams. What is science telling us today? Where are the limits of our knowledge? How can we build a better future for ourselves, our children, our grandchildren and future generations?
In 2020, Laurence Honnorat founded the non-profit organisation Ideasinscience.org, echoing the YouTube channel of the same name, created in 2011 and of which she is the producer. Laurence Honnorat works as a strategy consultant, particularly in industry, on issues related to anticipation, and in higher education, where she addresses the emergence of ideas, communication and project management. Laurence Honnorat films, photographs and edits the videos. Depending on the scale of the events to be covered and the funds available, other videographers join in. The teams' credo: science outside the walls to build a better world together.

Allocation of funds

Ideas in Science goes to see what's happening on the ground... The content we produce is freely accessible, reliable and exclusive. It's up to you to enjoy science in all its forms at your own pace! Conferences, debates, personal accounts... Everything is there to entertain and enrich your knowledge, and to inspire you to pass it on to others. This fundraising campaign is designed to make all this possible, by helping to finance the filming and editing equipment and the travel to meet the people we film. We also offer YouTube Live sessions, which require the purchase of a Zoom subscription to make it easier for everyone to take part and exchange ideas. Our rewards for you: T-shirts and books!
