Katrin-Merili, first EP "Beautiful Things" ♡

Hello ♡ Tere I am an Estonian singer and songwriter based in Paris, France and this is the first time I release an album with my original music (hurray)💖 I have been creating my own little songs since 2018 and i’m so excited that the time has come that they can fly out into the world with your help. I have financed the recording and production of the EP independently and now I need a little support for the final round to get it out and into your ears. A little bit about my journey🌙 I have been singing since i'm 5 and I wrote my first songs at the age of 12 when I bought my first guitar. Since then music has taken me to TV stages (Estonian Idol) and received a music degree in jazz and pop singing in Tallinn. I moved to France, Rennes, in 2014 to pursue music further and performed in festivals and stages all over France and europe as lead singer of different musical projects from jazz and swing to soul and neo soul. Just before Covid hit us, I moved to the capital, Paris to expand my craft in a bigger city and I met wonderful musicians and reignited the flame inside me to create my own music. I decided to take my career into my own hands and record my music professionally with my own funds without counting on labels to sign me. My manager at the time introduced me to producer Sacha Arnaud and we clicked musically and humanly. We recorded these songs in the wonderful Audioscope Studio in the 15éme with Guillaume who was a joy to work with. The musicians who play on this album are extremely talented and beautiful human beings, full of ideas and the joy of creating new music. We have Noé Berne on the bass , Vincent Tortiller on the drums, Rémi Klein on the keyboards. For the song Beautiful Things there’s Tiss Rodriguez on drums and Daniel Gassin on piano. I owe a lot of thanks to my dear friends and incredible singers who lent their voices (and lot of support), on backing vocals: India Naia, Katherine Curnow, Natalie Nova, Charlotte (Jesa)💖 Releasing music independently is a lot of work and with this album I put myself into it heart and soul. From writing the music and lyrics, to creating artworks and styling my photoshoots (even transforming my living room into a photo studio), editing videos and creating content for social media, being involved in the production, arrangement and mixing process to make sure every detail is matching my vision. These are also the exceptional advantages of creating independently 🌙 So you have the unfiltered and most intimate version of my artistic universe. For me music is innately human and these songs talk about my personal experiences as a woman, as an expact, as someone in love, as a person finding themselves (and finding joy) in this messy world. I hope you find comfort in these songs and my dream is to play them for you LIVE.
