It was the first time he had been allowed to take part. He finished this first race in 11th place (out of 43 drivers), 35 years after the last French entry in NASCAR at the Daytona International Speedway.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Michel proved his ability to race in this discipline in which only two foreign drivers currently take part (a Mexican and Michel).
