Our project : The Ressourcerie Créative de Lyon, is a project that seeks to defeat prejudice against second hand items. By promoting the re-use of objects, through upcycling and repurposing, we give them a second life and reduce waste within Lyon. This place will have : Thanks to this modern, clean and tidy store, we will democratize second-hand shopping, as well as the repair of damaged objects, and their upcycling. The Ressourcerie Créative de Lyon will also be a living space in the neighborhood, with many events and workshops that will promote social diversity and act against the isolation of vulnerable people. In fact, isolated people, especially the elderly or migrants, will be invited to participate in creative workshops in order to share their knowledge. A real commitment to intergenerational and intercultural transmission of knowledge. On the other hand, many reuse and repair structures and even individuals do not have access to second-hand materials for their projects. Here, they will be able to benefit from the materials and tools available in our workshop space. Existing structures will also be able to organize workshops. Our goals Reduce waste and promote second-hand purchases through their resale at low prices in our modern boutique, Raise awareness about lending, sharing and decluttering to change consumption trends thanks to our library of occasional use objects, Create a place of life in the neighborhood that promotes encounters and social diversity, a space that acts against intolerance and the isolation of people, especially the vulnerable and the elderly, Organize workshops that will allow the transfer of knowledge in matters of repair and creation, in an intergenerational and intercultural way, Promote access to second-hand materials for reuse structures in order to optimize the use of waste within the territory, Become autonomous and create lasting jobs The organization of the premises : The premises identified are located in the Girondins district, in the heart of the 7th arrondissement of Lyon, near the Jean Jaurès metro stop. The main three activities of the Ressourcerie Créative de Lyon will be established in three distinct spaces : A back shop where the volunteers will receive, sort and store donations. This area will also store the very-occasionally-used-objects selected for rental, A permanent space dedicated to creative and repair workshops, with many materials and tools available to users, And finally, a beautiful shop for second-hand items at low prices. The team We are a small team of volunteers, with very diverse life and educational paths, it is the perfect team to carry out this project which requires so many skills! This year, our objective is to finance and then launch the interior design work to open the doors of the Ressourcerie Créative de Lyon from the start of 2022 !
