The dream of two kids who got stars in their eyes from the very moment they read their first Uncle Scrooge Comic Books. Two kids who grew up alongside the amazing characters from these stories, and are as passionate about them today as they were twenty years ago. And those kids, well.. they decided to pay a tribute to their favourites ducks through their second passion : Cinema. And how exactly did they want to do that? With this short film, directly inspired by the stories created by Carl Barks and Don Rosa. A short film that transpose these iconic characters into a world similar to ours... and gives them an human form! "But... You already launched a crowdfunding, didn't you ?! " Indeed, you remember well. Thanks to a first wave of support last year (for which we're so grateful), we successfully completed the two third of the filming. To achieve that however, we already rethought the entire scenario in order to make it shorter and use our scenery to its full potential. "And that's it? Not more ? But isn't your cast working for free?" Indeed, indeed. But we insisted on making the film in conditions as professional as possible. To that adds up quite a lot of expenses as well : renting filming equipment, costumes, scenery… We chose not to cut on those budgets as it would have diminished the film's quality. This is the reason why, in order to finish the movie without lowering neither our expectations neither yours, we decided to launch this second (and last) crowdfunding campaign. And, to your own delight, who says new crowdfunding, also says new counterparties! Here's for example the chance for you to catch an exclusive CD version of the Film Soundtrack signed by our composer , or a drawing from the artist Gibus, alias Lucien (the movie's very own Beagle Boy!) Everybody! The very purpose of this short film is to open a window into this rich universe and those endearing, colorful characters .. whether you're familiar with them or not ! Most of all, we wanted to bring to light the enormous cinematic potential that laid into them. 🎩 Your last "Uncle $crooge" Comic reading goes back to 1992 in a service station? No worry, you'll be able to enjoy the movie and its universe without problem... It may as well bring you back to those sweet memories of summer childhood readings. 🎩 You know the whole Don Rosa Masterpiece by heart ? No problem either.. Just keep your eyes wide open, because we've hid numerous Easter eggs for the most attentive of you 😉 (Easter Eggs? From Ducks ?? Boy, things have changed nowadays..🐰 ) 🎩 You're a movie lover but you've never read any Uncle $crooge story ? Stay on board as well, you will discover a little treasure of comedy and adventure, full of flavors you're not used to find ! For the film, we insisted on casting only professional actors with a strong experience on the set. We successfully did so, and are proud to introduce you to our wonderful cast : Georges D'Audignon (La Machine à remonter le rock), Jimmy Conchou (Heureux qui communique), Alain Pochet (La Conversation), Aurélien Cavagna (Les Hennedricks), Damien Jouillerot (Les fautes d'orthographe, Les Crapauds fous) and Véronique Augereau (Les Simpson, Après le chaos) ! Leading this project are us, Hugo and Adrien, two huge fans of Cinema and .. Ducks of course ! We turned our first passion to a profession, and are working as Assistant Director. Our experience on numerous shooting gave us an extensive knowledge on the process of filmmaking. Along the way, we also met a good part of this film cast & crew! We ourselves met each other on a set on the 15th of November 2018.. that is to say five years exactly before this Crowfunding launch ! (As you can and will see, we love hidden homage like this 😉) Our amazing team, consciously shaped through the years, now counts more than 50 people as talented as they are passionate. Thanks to them, we were able to successfully film the first part of this movie, as well as the two first trailers available below. Today our goal is to pursue this adventure and finish filming with the same level of detail.
