Addis Ababa University on the road to the Pictet Competition 2024!

After a decade of absence, Addis Ababa University (AAU) is back in the prestigious Jean-Pictet Competition of international humanitarian law (IHL)! As three female students, we are thrilled and proud to have been selected to represent it. The Competition will take place in Bredene, Belgium, from 25 February to 3 March 2024. Project: For 35 years, this academic and humanitarian Competition has brought together more than 4000 bright minds and big hearts from around the world. It is a unique opportunity to "take the law out of the books", grow together, meet with other students passionate about IHL, and ultimately contribute to making this world a better place for all. Goal: Thanks to 26 generous donors, we've already reached our first targets of €1000 (100%) and then €1500 (150%) - thank you so much! We are now aiming for €2000 (200%), out of a total of around €2200 needed to cover our travel costs to the Competition. In concrete terms, your contributions will allow us to get... with €1000: one plane ticket and public transport for the whole team; with €1300: two plane tickets; with €1500: two plane tickets and public transport for the whole team; with €2200: plane tickets and public transport for the whole team.
