A shelter for homeless women and their children during the quarantine

<h3><strong>COVID-19 :&nbsp;A TRAUMA PERIOD FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT BE SAFE DURING THE QUARANTINE, LEFT OUTSIDE WITHOUT ENOUGH SUPPORT AND RESTRICTED HELP FROM REGULAR ACTORS.&nbsp;</strong></h3> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/655735/ADSF-2-1585068057.png" width="100%" /></p> <p>The quarantine is&nbsp;highly traumatic for homeless women and their children&nbsp;during which the loneliness, the violence, the hunger and the lack of access to hygiene are increasing.&nbsp;</p> <p>They are the one who are&nbsp;the most likely to contract COVID-19&nbsp;because of a non-protected environment, which may lead to&nbsp;a catastrophic result considering their health situations, weakened by tough living conditions.&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>ADSF WILL PURSUE ITS MISSION DURING THE CRISIS.&nbsp;</strong></h3> <p>Being a humanitarian association, which acts for the health of women in poverty,&nbsp;ADSF, its medical-psychological team and its volunteers are obviously engaged since the beginning of the pandemic:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>By financing nights in hotel&nbsp;to receive women and their families in Paris and in Dunkerque. For each of them, ADSF is&nbsp;giving luncheon vouchers&nbsp;with&nbsp;Action Contre la Faim&nbsp;to make sure they can eat. ADSF is also providing for each of them a&nbsp;hygiene kit&nbsp;to ensure that they can&nbsp;take care of their health and hygiene&nbsp;for them and their children&nbsp;during the quarantine.&nbsp;</li> <li>Sanitary social patrolling&nbsp;to&nbsp;distribute necessary hygiene products, to inform about the current sanitary crisis, to make prevention&nbsp;and&nbsp;to guide&nbsp;for sheltering being crucial regarding the situation in hotels.&nbsp;</li> <li>Our&nbsp;health center reception&nbsp;in the 18th&nbsp;district of Paris is still open to&nbsp;all women in need&nbsp;regarding their health problems, issues and questions, to offer them medical and psychological consultations and a possible shelter&nbsp;</li> <li>A&nbsp;telephonic campaign targeting over 1 117 women in poverty&nbsp;helped by ADSF in order to inform them about the sanitary crisis, to ensure their health is stable, that they are safe and to know how they feel.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>ADSF with the&nbsp;Salvatory&nbsp;Army&nbsp;continue to&nbsp;provide a place to stay from women alone and excluded&nbsp;at la Cit&eacute; des Dames in the 13th&nbsp;district, where they can have all&nbsp;the optimal and secured conditions to face through the quarantine for those who have contracted COVID-19.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>A SHELTER IN HOTEL IS ESSENTIAL FOR ALONE WOMEN AND WOMEN WITH CHILDREN&nbsp;</strong></h3> <p><img alt="" src="https://d3v4jsc54141g1.cloudfront.net/uploads/project_image/image/655728/ADSF---nuits-hotel-femmes-precaires-1-1585067605.png" width="100%" /></p> <p>During this crisis in which the poorest are the first impacted,&nbsp;ADSF&rsquo;s actions are highly weakened&nbsp;and we can only continue our actions&nbsp;thanks to the collective solidarity and all of you who works and helps by our side.&nbsp;</p> <p>Each paid night enables a woman (with or without children)&nbsp;to protect herself from the virus and all types of violence from the street, to eat, to rest, and to take a shower.
