Finally, the reason you heard so little about Def Monk for the past year is revealed. Yes! Everything is ready and in motion. We have been working on it for quite a while and have been dreaming about it for even longer. We are working hard on our first ever beautiful concept-album for 2017-2018.

Remember how it all started with our very first EP 'Belgian Groove'.

Then last year a live EP for the 'Velvet Ladies' as a starter and a series of Vlogs on the creative process of 'Red velvet' you can watch and watch again here ;) And the last episode 7 to motivate you one last time to be part of the whole adventure.

We are happy and proud to have made it this far after all those years of concerts, sharing and projects, it is time for the ultimate project. Unique and hopefully thanks to you, achievable! The idea is quite original (we never change). You will have been used to our 'different' groove and our fused, daring universe, we are now pushing the boundaries :)

The idea is to create a website and a digital fresco on which all the characters, stories and music will be brought to live progressively... See it as a potential Musical movie, a melodic novel or a theatrical album...

The aim is to work hard as hell end of 2017 on the product itself for it to be published end of 2017/beginning 2018 with a countdown and offer you a sight along with live rewards and other goodies Winter/Spring 2018. The character pages would look something like this...

For a certain amount, each Kissbanger will receive unique codes to access the website. He/She will be notified and will be able to follow each character as they appear once the site is launched. Little by little, every story, every character, every song will be offered to help you put the threads together to the tapistry until the final revelation and the link between all of them... the Story of Red velvet.

The Night was ending. It was the story of a moment, an indefinite time. On the ground, specks and broken glass. The spectators are long gone or they haven’t arrived yet. The same clean glasses and specks are also neatly displayed on the counter. All of them are waiting for a sign, change, a devastating event… And I, in this story, witness of the events former, now and beyond, spy in the shadows, of their story and the Story, I wait patiently for the hour to strike…

When suddenly, they looked at each other, a blinding flash cast a shadow over the fatality of their respective paths and gave life to what was asleep. The story of a moment, nothing else was to be expected.

Tomorrow then, a time to come, heavy, jinxed, numbed and dreamlike. But perhaps once light, beautiful and colourful? I can’t remember. Am I already owl? Here I am, guardian of time, a withering cuckoo, watching passing time, or perhaps it hasn’t happened yet. I have a feeling this scene is about to be lived and undergone hundreds and thousands of times… what is happening?
