Laurent Coq & Walter Smith III - The Lafayette Suite by Jazz and People

<p> <strong>Baron Johan de Kalb</strong> (Jean de Kalb) was raised by German farmers. He worked for Louis XV who sent him to America in 1768 on a covert mission. That's when he endorsed the cause of the colonists and their spirit of Independence. Lafayette became his protégé and they sailed together in 1777 to join the Insurgents in their fight against the British Crown.<br />  <br /> Today De Kalb is a long New York avenue than runs from downtown Brooklyn up to Ridgewood in Queens.<br />  <br /> It's also the second tune of <em>The Lafayette Suite</em> that I co-signed with <strong><a href="http://www.waltersmith3.com/" target="_blank">Walter Smith III</a>.</strong> He wrote it and we hope you like !
