Mazingo, nouvel album 2024

Hello everyone, We hope you're all doing well, and we certainly are! Why? Because we're currently hard at work, pouring our love and dedication into our upcoming album. Over the past few weeks, we've given our all to make every chord a promise, every song a story, and every silence an invitation. Nothing less... at least we hope so :) However, for this album to come to life, we need you – music-loving friends and fellow travelers. This journey cannot exist without your support. So, where are we at? For those who don't know us yet, our band is called Mazingo. We're a Franco-American trio formed in 2020 in Paris. Our music draws inspiration from Folk, 70s Rock, Blues, and even country, all while maintaining a punk energy. We've already produced an EP titled "3 Dollar Show," released in 2020, as well as our debut album, "Soleil Noir" (October 2022), with a sold-out release concert at La Boule Noire in Paris (thanks for your unwavering support!). The release of our first album allowed us to expand our team, notably with L'Orient'Artist, who handles booking our concerts, and Baco Music, responsible for distribution. Froggy's Delight We've had the opportunity to perform on big festival stages, including the Cahors Blues Festival, where we won six awards, already securing us spots at the following festivals: Salaise Blues Festival (38) - April 2024 Finale du Challenge France Blues (38) - April 2024 Léman Blues Festival (74) - September 2024 Albret Jazz Festival (47) - September 2024 All That Jazz (41) 2024 Suwałki Blues Festival (POLAND) - July 2024 Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi - Vâlcea (ROMANIA) - JULY 2024 We also had the opportunity to gain television exposure with the release of our first single from the album, thanks to the Culture Box program on France 4. This journey has been extraordinary, allowing us to press our first vinyl records, which you had the chance to discover during the 2023 tour, and to create music videos for three of our songs, thanks to the talent of our friend and director, Arnaud Legoff. Our latest tour brought us a harvest of good news and opens the doors to a European horizon in 2024. We are proud and excited to imagine playing our songs on big festival stages and pushing the boundaries with our music. This success is also yours, those of you who have supported us from the beginning. Thank you for carrying us this far! We have high hopes for this upcoming album, which we are self-producing with our label, Le Backbeat, just like the previous one, which has already sold over 1000 copies. That's why we need you! We started working on this album a year ago when "Soleil Noir" had just been released, and our goal was to have an album for the 2024 tour. So far, we are right on schedule and eagerly looking forward to completing this project, which is as exciting as it is daunting. New Album - New Direction This new work will feature 12 carefully selected tracks from a myriad of proposals. It will be recorded live to capture the essence and energy of the trio. This approach is a challenge that impresses us because we can't afford to make mistakes, but we are certain that this choice will bring us closest to the synergy that exists when we play together and, as a result, the authenticity of the music that emerges from it. To maximize the potential of this album, we will collaborate with talented professionals, such as sound engineer and producer Samuel Navel (Tindersticks, Mumford & Sons, Cascadeur). The release is scheduled for the end of spring 2024. It will be available on CD and vinyl, just like the previous one, and a release concert will be held in Paris to celebrate !
