Monsters beyond crowdfunding Present on the internet for six years, Bande2Ciné has been witness and actor of an evolution: that of cinema and its consumption. Defending an audiovisual project is therefore a real social and solidarity issue: that of rethinking the link between the artist, the film and its audience. Monsters allows its director to establish a reflection that could interest high schools, third places, media libraries, associations and other places of life in order to organize screenings-debates essential to our society. Rethinking cinema also means getting out of the Parisian sphere of influence and finding another audience that is often neglected. But, not taking into account the digital evolution would be a nonsense: this is why we plan an original support on our YouTube channel and our various social networks by documenting the evolution of the project and by federating our public, including during crowdfunding. In order to produce this first independent film, whose budget is estimated at a minimum of €16,000, we are therefore considering the support of an entire community via rowdfunding. However, a part has already and will be supported by Bande2Ciné and Mawuena. The material and financial contribution of Bande2Ciné is equivalent to more than €6,000 and contains: Image equipment (camera, tripod, camera, hard drive, stabilizer, lenses, etc.) Sound equipment (pole and recorder) Production and communication costs (insurance, bank account & advertising) Meeting and shooting locations for YouTube videos The technical team Mawuéna's personal investment of €1,500 made it possible to: Do two location scouting in Nantes and its region with the production team Organization of two training sessions and fight scene rehearsals The shooting of a communication video The filing of the scenario as well as the copyrights. 🔒 Photos of scouting and choreography rehearsals soon available 🔒 How much do we ask? If all this seems substantial, it is not enough to reach the minimum budget. An additional €8,000 is then required to make the film. Although this represents a significant sum, the entire team is committed on a voluntary basis, and local partnerships around Nantes make it possible to effectively reduce the budget. However, in order to create Monsters without too many constraints, the expected amount of crowdfunding is €10,000.
