OSTED is a french band from METZ that was formed in 2018 by Pierre-Marie "PM" Rothmann.

We like to label the genre our music as an Indie Rock / New Wave / Post-Punk mashup.

After composing our first songs, we quickly decided to get on stage, make concerts, and share our music in our region.

MEETING THE RIGHT PEOPLE

In September of 2018, Jean-Michel VION (who has become our manager since then) gave us the possibility to become the support band of THE OPPOSITION (UK) in a great gig in Longlaville, France. For The Opposition, it was a very important moment as it was their first concert in 24 years. According to their close friends, fans and relatives, that gig was one of their best of all time. The whole performance was recorded and a live concert was produced.

For us, it was probably the event that triggered this whole journey!

After several months spent playing live, we are now working on our debut LP, as well as for our upcoming tour with THE OPPOSITION, including a date in Paris at the legendary venue "La Boule Noire". The story of OSTED just began, but we already want to make our dream a reality!

LONDON CALLING

We dreamed about it: we are now going to do it thanks to your help!

Our encounter with Kenny Jones (Alchemy Studio) during our concert in Longlaville immediately gave us ideas. We always craved that English- sound and feel, and wanted to include it in our project.
Kenny's impressive expertise only added more reasons to convince us to take that road (Bauhaus, Prince, Bjork, Oasis, The Smiths, Heaven 17, Bananarama…). We highly recommand to take a look at his work.

April of 2019, the decision was made; we pulled up our sleeves to get that album ready while our manager was organizing the trip.

We left for London on the 12th of July for 14 days of studio recording at Kenny's.

Our album will be released on digital, CD and Vinyl record in November 2019.
