Hi Everyone   As you might have heard by now, we managed to fulfill our last news promise, which was to release the 2nd funk/soul compilation "Heavyweight Gambit - Foot Stompers & Freaky Soul Vol.2" on Halloween. Ben Hito has finished designing all the front, back, and CD artworks. Grant Phabao is finishing re-mastering all the 15 albums and compiilations.</div> <div class="embed"> They should deliver all the files for the pressing plant this week, so that we may launch the pressing. If all goes well we should start sending the boxsets at the beginning of December. The t-shirts printing has been launched, we should have them before the CDs. We'll post photos as soon as we get them and will start sending to those who only ordered t-shirts right away. Thanks again for your patience and support.</div>

Hi Everyone   We've received a lot of messages inquiring about the project, especially asking when we're gonna start shipping the boxsets. We know the fun in these crowdfunding campaigns wears off if the people supporting the projects are being kept in the dark... hence this update.   First of all, you've guessed it, we're late.   That second funk/soul compilation, the 5th CD in the Funky boxset, "Heavyweight Gambit - Foot Stompers & Freaky Soul Vol.2", is hard to finalize. We thought it'd be long done by mid-september but we were fools to think we could reach the same level of excellence we've used you to, while running our massive 15 CDs crowdfunding campaign, all at the same time.   On the good news side, this new compilation sounds DOPE! Got a few unreleased California funk & soul tunes in there from Connie Price & The Keystones, The Echocentrics or Soul Scratch for example — can't wait to put that out!! Now all the tracks are mastered, we're still sorting out a few administrative details for the digital release... now scheduled for Halloween.   Concerning the boxsets, Ben Hito is hard at work doing the 15 CDs backcovers and record artworks, while Grant Phabao is mid-way remastering all the albums and compilations. We now plan to get all the files for the end of october. Which leads us to a mid-november release in the best of cases. Late-november might be more realistic. We should be sending the t-shirts before mid-november though.   Let's just hope there won't be any more hickups - cos' we have Etienne de la Sayette's "Maputo Queens" album awaiting its turn. This afrojazz gem is finished, mastered, Ben Hito has prepared the front cover and t-shirt artworks, we'll launch the new crowdfunding soon. The RacecaR album will follow next year, we still have a song or two to record. The Grant Phabao Afrofunk Arkestra long-player is also coming soon, well soon in 2016...   We've also been recording some news songs this month with Oghene Kologbo, guitar player in Fela's Afrika 70, with some guests coming from Les Frères Smith or Newen Afrobeat Orchestra. And we've also been working on some new digital singles, and the "Vinyl Is Good For You Vol.2" boxset of 45s...
