Rigoletto at the Jacquemart André Museum

Opera a Palazzo is dedicated to organizing intimate opera performances in exceptional locations in Paris. For the past three years, we have presented La Traviata in prestigious settings such as the Fondation Dosne-Thiers, the Musée Jacquemart-André, and La Monnaie de Paris. These performances have been magical moments of shared experience made possible by your presence and support. Our New Production: Verdi's Rigoletto Today, we are delighted to announce our new project that is particularly close to our hearts: the production of Verdi's "Rigoletto," to be performed in the Jacquemart-André Museum. Our ambition is to gather the necessary funds to bring this new production to life. The Project Rigoletto is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi: an intense drama of passion, betrayal, filial love, and vengeance. The production we are presenting, created by Musica a Palazzo Venice, focuses on the main roles: Rigoletto (baritone), Gilda (soprano), Duca di Mantova (tenor), Sparafucile (bass), and Maddalena (mezzo-soprano). The musical accompaniment will be provided by three musicians (piano, violin, and cello). The show, directed by Patrizia di Paolo, will last for two hours, including an intermission, and will be performed in the magnificent salons of the Musée Jacquemart-André, our partner for the past two years, with each act staged in a different salon. The costumes will be crafted by Atelier Nicolao of Venice. Rehearsals for our artistic team (12 singers and 9 musicians) will take place during the first week of September, and the dress rehearsal, scheduled for October 7th, will be followed by a special exchange moment and a cocktail reception with the artists.
