Be the reason a Nepali kid sleeps better tonight!

Lalit, Mahendra and Bastola are three of the 40 children who left their homes in the Nepali mountains to seek a better future in the city of Kathmandu. The New Nepal Society Center has given them a chance to grow up in the capital, be fed, housed,and to go to school with kids their own age in the best conditions.

The center solely relies on donations, crowdfunding and solidarity from caring neighbors.

Our Project

Today, they are facing a new challenge: the children have been sleeping in the same old beds for almost ten years. The wooden bed cases and mattresses are worn off and can't provide the comfort needed for a good night of sleep any longer. Bed bugs have infested the beds, making it impossible for children to rest properly.

Sleeping in good conditions shouldn't be a luxury, the children deserve the right to enjoy the warmth of a comfortable bed.

Our team

We're Joséphine, Emmanuelle and Garance, three French business students. We're all 20 years old! We're part of the student association Sari ESSEC, an association which aims at supporting the health and education of children across Nepal and India.

We've been volunteering at New Nepal Society Center for two weeks now, and have witnessed first hand how worrying the situation is. The children are brilliant, curious, and constantly demonstrate their desire to fulfill their dreams of becoming doctors, engineers, social workers, or artists. We cannot let exhaustion stand between them and their dreams.

Our Goal

Our goal is to raise 1000 euros in order to replace the 20 bunk beds and their mattresses. Any donation will make a difference! Help us support these children so they can sleep better tomorrow night!

The funds will be received by Sari ESSEC who will then transfer all the funds to New Nepal Society as quickly as possible!
