Damn Good café, specialty coffee and sandwiches
So, apparently you people have a story to tell? Once upon a time, in 2020, after a long journey, four young hobbits met on the side of a path. Two of them were already travelling side by side, while the two others were lonely soldiers. Soon enough, they came to realize they were going to pretty much the same place. The idea came to walk there all together. They discussed it a lot, and one night, during a full moon, they made a blood pact and screamed on the top of their lungs: "the more, the merrier!", and this is how Damn Good was conceived. Two years later, it was opening very soon... No but seriously, what is this all about? We've always been working in the hospitality industry. We've been waiters and waitresses, cooks and baristas, sometimes all at once. We ended up all working together at some point. From colleagues we became friends, and finally proud business partners. Our project is coming from a simple fact: we couldn't find any place serving excellent coffees, excellent sandwiches and with good work ethics. So we ended up creating that place. Somewhere everybody's welcome, a place to chill, work, or just staying two minutes for an espresso. Speaking of espresso! At Damn Good, we'll be roasting our own coffee, with help from Way Coffee Roasters. It is a indispensable requirement for us to be working with people who share the same values as we do, suppliers included. We invite you to visit their website (https://www.way.gent/) if you wish to know more about them. You'll also find specialty coffees from Belgian's and European's roasteries, made with different brewing methods, but always lots of love. One of our main goal is to welcome connoisseurs as much as neophytes, and make everybody happy at the end of the visit. Besides coffees, we're thrilled to introduce you our "specialty sandwiches"! Have you heard about belgian delicacies such as "poulet curry" and "américain martino", full of mayonnaise and weird stuff? You won't find any of those at Damn Good. Instead, you'll get the best Cubano ever and Vegan Pulled Pork you'll remember for the rest of your life. That's for lunch! But you'll also find breaskfasts and pastries, everything homemade (yes, even the bread), seasonal and, as much as possible, local. This is getting quite exciting, where will the magic happen? In Brussels, but we keep our address secret for now! We can already tell you we're five minutes away from Place Sainte Catherine, five minutes away from Rogier metro station, and five minutes away from Kanal Centre Pompidou. Definitely my favourite neighborhood! Any other good news you want to share? You probably got it, we're really into coffee and food, but also into arts, music and fun in general. Have we told you about the exhibitions, concerts, blind test games (among other things) we plan to host?
