Sa mission est de liquider un puissant gangster coréen et de quitter le pays immédiatement. Son boss est une voix mystéreuse au téléphone parlant anglais avec un accent coréen. Durant la fusillade avec le gangster dans un « bar ethnic » du célèbre quartier de Hongdae, au centre-ouest de Séoul, les choses ne se passent pas comme prévues : une femme qui auraient du lui passer le flingue tergiverse ; du coup, un petit garçon est sérieusementblessé par le Tueur. Celui-ci a ressenti quelque chose d'étrange en voyant le petit, quelque chose qui lui a rappelé son passé... Le Tueur glacial laisse ses émotions parler... Il veut savoir ce qui est arrivé au petit garçon. A l'hôpital, il rencontre la mère, en larmes, effondrée. Le petit risque de rester muet et sourd toute sa vie si on ne lui administre pas un traitement long et coûteux. La mère vit seule, elle ne peut pas payer. Le Tueur décide de lui donner la prime qu'il vient de toucher pour avoir abattu le gangster, et il promet de lui ramener plus d'argent encore. Du coup, il ne peut rentrer en Europe, il demande à son Boss de lui donner une nouvelle mission en Corée.</p> <p> Sa prochaine mission sera de liquider une jolie espionne nord-coréenne...</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="en-US"> First episode : A mysterious Killer from Europe arrives in Seoul, South Korea. His mission involves the murder of a powerful Korean gangster and to leave the country soon after. His boss is a mysterious voice on the phone speaking English with a Korean accent. During the gunfight with the gangster in a ethnic bar in the famous Hongdae area downtown East Seoul, everything turns wrong : a lady who was supposed to give him a gun did not do it right and a young boy is seriously wounded by the Killer. He felt something strange about the boy, something related to his own past... The cold professional lets his emotion speaks... He wants to know what happen to the boy. At the hospital, he meets the mother, crying and depressed. The boy is about to stay deaf-and-dumb all his life if he doesn't have a long and expensive treatment. The mother, who lives alone, can't pay. The Killer decides to give her the money he received for killing the gangster and promises to give more money to the mother. In consequence, he can't return to Europe and asks his mysterious boss another mission.</p> <p lang="en-US"> His next mission, will push the Killer to kill a beautiful female North-Korean spy...</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Contexte de l'histoire :</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Le tueur est hanté par un passé tragique que les spectateurs découvriront peu à peu. Cela le rend spécialement sensible derrière son apparente froideur professionnelle. Il cherche une sorte de rédemption. L'ancienne sagesse asiatique pourrait l'aider. C'est l'histoire du crépuscule d'un dieu, un homme puissant mais perdu, désespérément à la recherche de valeurs profondes mais perdues. Il est entouré de personnages – certains très spéciaux et imprévisibles – qui semblent bien confiant en eux-mêmes. It makes him specially sensible behind his professional coldness. He's looking for a kind of redemption. And Asian old wisdom may help him. It's a story about the dawn of a God, a powerful but lost man looking for deep and untold human values. He is surrounded by people - some of them are really special and unpredictable - who seems confident with themselves  and a world with no way out.</p> <p lang="en-US"> 10 episodes are planned</p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> Une fenêtre sur la Corée :</p> <p> Chaque épisode, en suivant l'histoire du Tueur, fera découvrir aux spectaeurs des lieux inédits de la Corée. Dans le premier episode, nous sommes à Hongdae, ses célèbres bars ethniques underground, sa foule défilant dans les rues et son pont traversant le fleuve Han. Dans le deuxième épisode, nous serons sur les autoroutes qui traversent Séoul et dans le métro suspendu. Un temple sera le décor du troisième épisode, etc.</p> <p> Le tueur est intrigué fascine par des aspects de la spiritualité ancienne d'Asie. Des personnages coréens rencontrés "par hasard" l'initieront d'epiosde en episode.</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="en-US"> A window on Korea :</p> <p lang="en-US"> Each episode, with the story of the killer, makes the audience discover a special Korean area. In the first episode, we are in Hongdae, its famous ethnics underground Bars, its crowded streets and its bridge across the Han River. In the second episode, the subway and the highways crossing Seoul will be the special locations. A temple will be the main location of the third episode, etc.</p> <p lang="en-US"> The Killer is fascinated and puzzled by old Asian wisdom and spirituality. Quelques membres de notre groupe comme Antoine Coppola, Marco Tessiore, Sebastien Simon ont déjà réalisé plusieurs courts-métrages mais à chaque fois les projection ont été rares. Antoine Coppola a même réalisé des longs métrages indépendants, des documentaires avec les mêmes difficultés de diffusion pour atteindre les spectateurs. Donc nous pensons comme beaucoup de musiciens, par exemple, Thom Yorke des Radiohead dont le nouvel album est téléchargeable sur le Net : Internet peu relier directement les artistes aux gens sans le passage obligé des « gardiens du temple », c'est à dire les société commerciales de distribution qui contrôlent toute la chaîne de diffusion des œuvres. Internet peut fournir une large audience à toutes les œuvres.</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Qui sommes-nous ?</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Nous sommes des cinéastes basés en Corée du Sud. Beaucoup d'entre nous ont des jobs dans les médias ou dans l'éducation. Nous aimons la Corée et le cinéma coréen. C'est sans nous forcer que nous retrouvons dans les bars du centre de Séoul ou dans les festivals de films du pays. Nous avons de bonnes relations avec les cinéastes coréens et les acteurs locaux, mais ils ont leurs problèmes pour faire des films, donc en tant qu'étrangers, nous essayons de nous débrouiller par nous-mêmes, et faire les films qu'on aimerait voir.</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Pourquoi la Corée ?</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Le cinéma coréen est devenu international récemment. Après les régimes des dictatures militaires, le cinéma représente un espace de liberté. Le contexte est très dynamique, et nous y sommes impliqué en tant qu'étrangers. Le pays a de nombreux lieux et de nombreuses particularités encore jamais vus dans des films. Et les Coréens eux-mêmes ne les connaissent pas.... En tant qu'étrangers nous avons un point de vue original et nouveau sur le pays, un pays qui change très vite.</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Pourquoi un polar?</p> <p>  </p> <p lang="fr-FR"> Nous adorons les films de genre. On peut y exprimer énormément de choses à l'intérieur de cadres prédéterminés. Some members like Antoine Coppola, Marco Tessiore, Sebastien Simon had already made several short films but it was so difficult to find an opportunity to screen them. Antoine Coppola has even made Indy feature films and documentaries but it was also difficult to reach an audience- we think like many musicians for example Thom Yorke from Radiohead who is new album is available on internet, he said that internet can contact directly the artists to the people without the "guardians of the temple", it means the distribution companies who controlled everything. So Internet can provide this large audience we need.</p> <p> Who are we?</p> <p> We are film makers based in South Korea. many of us have jobs in the medias or the education field. we love Korea and Korean cinema. so naturally we met in many bars of downtown Seoul and in the film festivals all around the country. We have good relationships with the Korean film makers and actors, but they have their own difficulties to make films so as foreigners we are trying to organise ourselves to do the movies we would like to see.</p> <p> Why Korea?</p> <p> The Korean cinema became international recently. After being a long time under the control of dictators and military regimes, it represents a space of freedom. The situation is very energetic, and we as foreigners are involved in it. The country has many aspects and spaces that haven't been seen in movies, and Korean themselves are not so aware of it. So as foreigners we have a fresh point of view on a country which is quickly changing.</p> <p> Why a thriller?</p> <p> we love genre movies.
