"Al Atlas", Mon premier livre photo

"Al Atlas" is the name of my first photo book. It relates my photographic wanderings in the heart of Morocco, It is a mix between street photography and a more instinctive photography, it is an open window on the furtive and spontaneous vision that I can have from my close environment. It's a story of lights that run through the city throughout the day and make it a real theatre of life. PS: Al Atlas is the name of the Moroccan railway company, which connects all the big cities of the country, from North to South, it is the link between all the wanderings. Hi everyone, I'm Tanguy Britain of my roots, it's in a country universe that I found my first photographic inspirations, animated by the earth and its seaside, nature was very quickly an escape to daily wanderings. Rocked between wind and tides, it is at the age of 15 that I started to take pictures with my father's old film camera. Continuously accompanied by my camera, itis through the years that my instinctive eye is built. Today, working on films really allows me to set limits in my work. These limits are like constraints It's the best way for me to take a step back from my work, to focus much more on framing, composition and light. "Al Atlas", a collaboration To make this book, I called on the Manufacture des deux ponts, It is a family business for 3 generations based in Bresson at the foot of the French Alps. Al Atlas is above all an object, for this first book we decided to put forward the artisanal and raw side of Morocco.
