The duo Elise Dabrowski (doublebasse-voice) and Raphaël Reiter (trombone, piano), without ever really defining their influences, composes and improvises on a pallet of sound that denouces their admiration for twentieth century composers such as Olivier Messiaen, Igor Stravinsky, Béla Bartók, Maurice Ravel, Alban Berg... The voice, varies its tones, from singing to talking, crying to laughing, blends in the vibrant and sensual sounds of the valve trombone. On the piano, polyrythms and modal cycles expand in waves, letting the double bass, with the help of the bow, to go down in the furthest depths of sounds, or on the contrary, to flood the air with crystaline harmonics.
