Before going into the flourishing universe of FELIAE, here is our story.

Morgane & Mathilde

It all started out at a meeting in Brussels between two entrepreneurs:

Mathilde, an art director in the advertising sector and Morgane, a trained stylist flourishing in the illustrating profession.

This friendship will give rise to the desire to reunite our respective universes in order to create our brand of silk squares.

WHY FELIAE?

Being lovers of luxury and beautiful materials, it was difficult, if not impossible for us to find the ideal square: original, high quality and yet affordable. The question quickly arose: why don’t we launch our own brand?

Our common inspirations are naturally combined: luxurious nature, untameable wild animals and the timelessness of the scarf.

OUR STARTING POINT

It was in Marrakesh in June 2016 that our first collection was consigned to paper. After several garden visits, all just as pretty as each other, thousands of photographs and some sunburns, we managed to define our brand universe and give it life.

FELIAE is a paradise regained where the feline woman is emancipated. She wraps her hair in a camouflage of silk to reveal her wild side as she desires.

Each collection is a discovery of this untameable and triumphant nature.

The “Garden of delights” silk squares are an invitation to travel in a luxurious, wild and lush jungle. This first collection is inspired by Eden, the creation of the world, the representation of paradise according to Eastern interpretation.

THE PERFECT SQUARE

In each Islamic garden, one finds the fluvial square, which organizes the mythology of the water in the Koran: the paradise comprises four rivers, oriented around the four corners of the Earth.

The FELIAE collection is centred around the four high points of the day:

1. Dawn: The animals awake, the morning sunrise leaves pastel colours on the landscape, one wakes up gently from a dream.

2. Zenith: The hottest period indicated by the colours. The creatures try to find rest among the shadows and streams.

3. Twilight: Night is falling, the sky is revealing its warmth, the air is more breathable, the forests are more open and one dares to venture there once more.

4. Nadir: The animals are wild, predatory, chasing their prey, the night is dangerous but leaves still many mysteries as regards the creatures living there. One sees furs, possibly animals but all that remains furtive: eyes shining in the night, silhouettes...

We have both put all our hearts into the work in order to develop our brand but we now need your help in order to continue the adventure. Our factory for example, is not in Como by chance. The city of silk par excellence, its proximity enables us to ensure regular follow-up of our production. It is essential for us to offer you a product of quality and to ensure with certainty that European conformity will be respected.

The squares are printed on a silk twill, the edges will be rolled and stitched by hand.
