<p> <strong>What is l'Académie de musique de Paris?</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> L’Académie de musique de Paris is a musical and pedagogical creation of the professional ensemble Le Palais Royal.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Since its creation in 1996, l’Académie de musique de Paris has devoted itself to developing the appreciation and the practice of classical music among students and young professionals. The demanding standards and original approach offered by the academy satisfy a real demand among young people. Each year, more than 400 between the ages of 18 and 30 enrol.</p> <p>  </p> <p> Alongside musicians from the most prestigious orchestras (including Le Palais royal, l’Opéra de Paris, l’Orchestre National de France), l’Académie de musique allows young people, according to their level, to develop and to perfect themselves within the ranks of a symphonic choir, a chamber choir, and a symphony orchestra, in conditions which remain unique in France. The professional musicians are present at each rehearsal in order to transmit to those younger their experience and their musical expertise.</p> <p>  </p> <p> The orchestra and choir have given several series of concerts, directed by the conductor Jean-Philippe Sarcos and recognised for their musical quality, for their diversity and for their originality.</p> <p>  </p> <p> L’Académie de musique welcomes around 10 000 audience members each year, of which an impressive proportion are young people attending a classical music concert for the first time in venus such as l’église de la Madeleine or the Cirque d’Hiver. It strives to renew classical music for the public.</p> <p>  </p> <p> In order to continue to offer a musical education as well as quality concerts, l’Académie de musique de Paris needs you to help finance a part of the next season and thus ensure its survival.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Concert1" src="https://kkbb-production.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/project_image/image/89592/concert1.jpg"></p> <p>  </p> <p> <strong>What goes on behind the scenes of l’Académie de musique de Paris?</strong></p> <p>  </p> <p> L’Académie promotes the meeting between students and young professionals from the scientific, literary and artistic worlds. Each year it gathers young people of more than 30 different nationalities. The symphonic choir brings together several hundred singers, students and active young people. It has the goal of allowing the discovery and deepening appreciation of choral music. It is accompanied by the symphony orchestra, composed of 70 instrumentalists of a high level.</p> <p>  </p> <p> The orchestra is led by Jean-Philippe Sarcos: recipient of the Premier Prix from the Conservatoire de Paris in the class of Jacques Castérède, and holder of the licence de Concert of l’École normale de musique de Paris. He is the founder and artistic director of the vocal and instrumental ensemble Le Palais Royal with which he interprets baroque, classical and romantic music on period instruments. Besides his activities with the Palais Royal, he has also had the opportunity to conduct different orchestras such as l’Orchestre de chambre de Toulouse, l’Orchestre national de l’Académie de Varsovie and Marc Minkowski’s Musiciens du Louvre. He involves himself with enthusiasm in numerous enterprises with the goal of transmitting classical music to young generations. Among the works which have been interpreted one finds Poulenc’s Gloria, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, the Requiems of Mozart, of Fauré and also of Verdi, and spectacles comprising French and Italian opera.</p> <p>  </p> <p> L’Académie de musique de Paris brings its 2013/2014 season to a close with two concerts at the Cirque d’Hiver with the<em>Symphonie fantastique</em> by Berlioz and extracts from Rossini’s <em>Guillaume Tell</em>.</p> <p>  </p> <p> <img alt="Liste_concert" src="https://kkbb-production.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/project_image/image/89650/liste_concert.png"></p>
