Osamu Tezuka, also known as the "God of Manga," revolutionized the world of Japanese comics and animation. His influence is immense, and his work continues to inspire creators worldwide. This anthology of 8 television feature films was produced from 1979 until the master's passing in 1989 as part of Nippon TV's annual program "24 Hour Television," following the theme "Love Saves the Earth". This high-definition box set reflects our deep admiration for Tezuka's work and will allow the most discerning fans to own an exceptional collector's item with premium details and finishes. What will the anthology include? • The 8 television feature films on Blu-ray o Bander Book - 1978 o Marine Express - 1979 o Fumoon - 1980 o Bremen 4 - 1981 o Prime Rose - 1983 o Bagi - 1984 o Border Planet - 1986 o I'm Songoku - 1989 • A limited and numbered box set with a unique design. Our box set is a dive into the past, specifically 1979, when the first of these television feature films aired on Japanese television. It incorporates graphic elements from a television of that era, providing a complete immersion from the moment you first handle the box. • 8 Surprising Digipacks Each disc will adopt the design of a film reel and will be housed in an independent digipack resembling a VHS cassette. The 8 films will be offered in HD, in their original Japanese version with subtitles in English, French, and Spanish. For the first time in physical format, the films Fumoon (Nucléa 3000) and Bander Book (The Prince of the Sun) will feature their French dubbing from the 1980s. As a video bonus, there will be a 5-minute presentation preceding each film, trailers, creditless opening sequences, and much more... • The complete storyboard of Marine Express (650 pages) An immersion into Osamu Tezuka's creative process! His film Marine Express celebrates his 'Star System', featuring the many characters he loves to reuse." (The storyboard is in Japanese only) • The TEZUKANIMATION book (200 pages) This unique work, written by Philippe Bunel, delves into the master's career in animation. The book is also filled with an incredible amount of unpublished sketches and illustrations by the master. It will also include the first and last name of each person who pre-ordered this box set." (This book is written in French and English) • 8 P ostcards Carefully printed, each card features the promotional illustration from each film (the same cards available in the Support Pack). • 2 lenticular cards Linked to the design of the box These 2 lenticular cards allow fans to choose which one they want to see "on screen" of their TV.
