We are thrilled to share two excellent news with you today! First, our travel costs to participate in the Pictet Competition are covered! A huge THANK YOU to all contributors on this platform, as well as to the University of Addis Ababa, Prof. Sévane Garibian, Prof. Marco Sassòli, Mrs. Paulette Vuille and one generous donor who prefers to remain anonymous, for their direct donations. 💙 Second, we got our visa to travel to Belgium and purchased our plane tickets. Every day, Bredene (where the Competition will take place) is getting a bit closer! ✈️ There are now 15 days left before the beginning of the Competition. We are all very excited about it and will keep you informed of our adventures. But for now…it is time to get back to work! 📚

Many thanks to all of you for your valuable contributions! Together, we already reached €1675. Next goal: 200%, meaning €2000. We still need your help to achieve it. So please, keep spreading the word! Step by step and together, we are getting closer to our final target of €2200, that will allow us to cover all our costs to go to Bredene. Thank you and happy Sunday!
You are fantastic! Together, you donated €1650 in one week! አመሰግናለሁ - Amesegenallo - Thank you from the whole team! Yesterday, January 7th, Ethiopian Christians celebrated Christmas. መልካም ገና - Melkam Gena - Merry Christmas! Your support and generosity are wonderful gifts and encouragement for the team. ✨ "Ye Genna Chewata” is an Ethiopian traditional game similar to field hockey. It is played during Christmas season, mostly in rural areas.
Wow! You donated 925 euros in less than 48 hours! The whole team is amazed and touched. Thank you very much! 💛 As the Amharic saying goes: “ሃምሳ ሎሚ ለአንድ ሰው ሸክሙ ለሃምሳ ግን ጌጡ” ("hamsa lomi le and sew shekimu le hamsa gin getu"), or “Fifty lemons are a burden for one person, but a decoration for fifty”. Let’s keep it up and keep growing these lemons together! Thank you for your continued support! 🍋
